This policy explains what LookalikeDomain (“we”) collects when you use lookalikedomain.com, and what we do with it.
Who we are
LookalikeDomain is a lookalike and copycat domain checker. You can run a scan, save brands to an account, and on a paid plan monitor those brands and export reports.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, and a display name if you add one. Sign-in is by a magic link sent to that email.
- Brands and scans. Domains you check or save, settings you add (terms, TLD filters, suspicious keywords), and the lookalike results we return.
- Reports. On Pro and Business, PDF and CSV reports you generate, and a report logo if you upload one on Business.
- Billing. On paid plans, we store your plan status and Paddle customer and subscription identifiers so we can open the billing portal and keep access in sync. Payment card details, tax information, and invoices are handled by Paddle as merchant of record. We do not store your full card number.
- Cancellation notes. If you cancel a paid plan, the reason you select and any note you add.
- Technical data. Session cookies so you stay signed in, and basic hosting logs needed to run the site.
- Analytics. Basic site-usage data such as pages viewed and approximate traffic, including Google Analytics, so we can understand how the product is used.
How we use it
We use this information to:
- Run scans and show lookalike results for the domains you enter
- Keep your account, brands, and reports available to you
- Send sign-in links and, on paid plans, monitoring emails you expect
- Process subscriptions and refunds through Paddle
- Understand why a paid plan was cancelled
- Understand site traffic and improve the product
- Keep the service reliable and prevent abuse
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your brand list to advertise other companies’ products to you.
Who processes it
We use a small set of providers to run the product. They process data only so we can deliver the service:
- Database hosting for accounts, brands, and reports
- Email delivery for magic links and product mail
- Site hosting and, where enabled, bot protection
- Paddle, as merchant of record, for checkout, subscriptions, invoices, tax, and refunds when billing is active
- Website analytics providers, including Google Analytics
- On paid reports: short risk blurbs and public web snippets for domains already in your results, plus hosting lookup from a domain’s IP address
How long we keep it
We keep account data while the account exists. Scan and report history stays so you can open past results. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove the personal data we no longer need to keep, except where we must retain a record for legal or security reasons.
Your choices
You can update your display name, remove a report logo, and cancel a paid plan from Account. You can stop using the service at any time. To ask for a copy or deletion of your personal data, email [email protected].
